The Board of Directors of Georgina Cares is a volunteer board, whose directors are elected at our Annual General Meeting. Directors are required by our constitution to sign an affidavit of privacy where we legally bind ourselves to maintain the privacy of all information learned in the course of the discharge of our duties on the board. The Board meets at the call of the chair, although this usually means meeting about 10-12 times per year. There is no compensation for participation on the board - other than the good feeling one gets from helping the children we help.
Hello, everyone and welcome to the web-site of the Georgina Cares Fund. Georgina Cares delivers significant results in our community at the most important level - the lives of our children. Life can deal some pretty rough hands to the members of our society who are least able to manage their way out of it. For the most part our job is to help smooth the way when these life events strike. Since the creation of Georgina Cares in 1996, we have been able to help the most vulnerable of our community to experience life as you and I might remember our youth - carefree and full of the positive learning and growing experiences that shape the rest of our lives. On behalf of the Board of Directors, we really appreciate every kindness given us by our donors and supporters. You can help too, and I encourage you to - it's the most special feeling in the world!
