Are there funding limits?
Georgina Cares has limited funds and we would like to help as many children
as possible. As a result there are certain caps that we observe.
These are listed in the application form.
I've filled out the form, now what do I do?
The volunteer board meets approximately once per month on the second
Tuesday of the month to evaluate applications and conduct the business of the
Fund. We ask that all applications for funding be submitted for
consideration one week in advance of a meeting date in order that the members
of the board have time to properly assess the application.
SAVE YOURSELF DISAPPOINTMENT. Please ensure that you meet the
criteria for funding, and that the relevant paperwork is supplied and that the
forms are filled in completely.
Is my information confidential?
This is one of the most important aspects of our organization. All
members of the Board have agreed in writing to strictly observe a code of
conduct as to the confidentiality of the information they become aware of
while serving as board members and into the future. We understand and
respect your desire and right of privacy.
How does the Board evaluation process work?
At its monthly meeting, the Board assesses the merits of each application.
Each application is reviewed in detail, and there is discussion until an
action consensus is reached. The Board can decide to approve an
application in whole or in part, deny it, or defer it if more information is
required.
How will I know if I've been approved?
All decisions of the Board are communicated promptly in writing to address
supplied.
