The volunteer board meets several times throughout the year to evaluate
applications and conduct the business of the Fund. Each application is
reviewed in detail, and there is discussion until an action consensus is
reached. The Board can decide to approve an application in whole or in part,
deny it, or defer it if more information is required. The Georgina Cares Fund
has limited funds and we would like to help as many children as possible. As
a result, there are certain caps that we observe. All decisions of the Board
are communicated promptly in writing to the address supplied.
Confidentiality is one of the most important aspects of our organization.
All members of the Board have agreed in writing to strictly observe a code of
conduct as to the confidentiality of the information they become aware of
while serving as board members and into the future. We understand and respect
the desire and right of privacy of applicants and their family.
